The Forward Party: Reforms & Strategies
with Kelly Wright & Darin Foster

Kelly Wright is the Washington Forward Party’s chief strategist. He has been involved in politics since volunteering on Jimmy Carter’s 1976 campaign as a 13 year-old. He has had a long career in international diplomacy, development and defense, working for the State Department, USAID and the DoD in such garden spots as Pakistan, Iraq, Afghanistan and Yemen.
 
Darin Foster is a stay-home father of four and the current Interim Treasurer for the Washington Forward Party.  He has been volunteering since August 2022, and is the past Interim Chair of the Party.  Previously in life, he has worked extensively in volunteer recruitment and engagement as a Disaster Preparedness Coordinator for the American Red Cross, AmeriCorps, and time as the Main Street Program Coordinator in Hermiston, OR. He will be discussing some of the reforms the Forward Party is currently working on.

Fix Democracy First, previously Washington Public Campaigns, began its journey to support and protect democracy 20 years ago. We have been working to help create a stronger and more representative democracy throughout the lifetime of our organization. Please come celebrate with us on 
Saturday, September 9th from 6-9 pm in Seattle.
 
We will be honoring democracy champions, hear from special guests, enjoy delicious food catered by Falafel Salam, wine donated by Eleven Winery, and more! This is our first in-person event since 2019, and we look forward to celebrating together.
 
We also welcome John Bonifaz,  President & Co-founder
of Free Speech for People, as our keynote Speaker!
