Hello! Here is this week’s roundup of updates happening with People Powered Elections Seattle and the Yes on Prop 1 Seattle campaign to renew the Democracy Voucher Program! Please share this information with your networks. We are working to make sure Seattle's successful Democracy Voucher Program continues for another 10 years. The program has changed local elections for the better—giving everyday people a bigger voice, making it possible for more diverse candidates to run, reducing the influence of big money in politics, and more. We hope to bring this kind of program to other places in Washington state, including for state legislative races. Keeping Seattle's program alive will help us with this effort. The program is now up for renewal with Seattle's Proposition 1 on the August 5th primary ballot to ensure funding for the program for the next 10 years. Check out who's endorsing the campaign HERE. URGENT: We still need more people for our Yes on Prop 1 Video Project! We’re still looking for more people to help with our video project. All it takes is a quick selfie-style video reading a short script (we'll send everything you need!).
